We're Having a Baby!
Surprise! The secret it officially out that Alex and I will be expecting our first baby later this year around Thanksgiving. We are so excited and a little surprised too! This definitely wasn't something we sat down and planned but we couldn't be happier nonetheless. Let's be honest, with how busy we are, we never would have felt like "it was time," but God knew that and we trust that HIS timing is perfect.
Our baby is the size of a lemon today! I have been very lucky to have zero sickness thus far and my energy levels have felt the same as usual. We heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time last Friday and we will be able to find out the gender at our next appointment in 4 weeks. Any guesses?! There are lots of girls on my side of the family, but Alex has already assumed it's a boy and is calling it baby Woodford.
Y'all know I can't wait to find out the gender so I can start designing the nursery! I'm trying to resist the temptation to start planning before I know. I'm excited to dig out all the children's books and vintage toys and things I've been collecting and hoarding for years just in case! I also kept almost all of my favorite toys from childhood and we've been storing them in our garage. I'm so excited to share this new adventure with all of you!
