Fixer Upper Friday: The Hot Sauce House

In last week's episode, Joanna took on the challenge of transforming this outdated farmhouse into a gorgeous "Italian Rustic" masterpiece!  The finished product featured lots of gorgeous metalwork, rustic beams, and one-of-a-kind tile.  Joanna was able to perfectly blend the Italian Rustic features that this couple requested with her own classic farmhouse style to make a truly unique and beautiful home.  Check out the amazing before + after below, and you can also check out even more behind-the-scenes photos + details on this renovation here.

My favorite part of this project?  I LOVED the completely unique and adorable playroom that Joanna created for this family.  The space is so practical and also cute enough that you don't feel like it needs to be hidden away like many playrooms.  I love the classic schoolhouse style that Joanna used as inspiration for this space.  I grew up playing "school" constantly and always had my playroom set up like a school room too.  I've gathered up some similar fixtures to help you replicate this look in your own home below:

My favorite part of the space is how practical it is for the entire family.  By creating little workstations, this room can be used for projects, homework, and crafting- and not just for hiding toys!  A vintage filing cabinet has a cool, industrial feel but also gives you a TON of storage for little toys, crayons, markers, legos, and so many other trinkets!  Shop similar industrial lighting + cabinets below:

I especially loved the dark wood floors in this space that flowed throughout this entire level.  You can get this same look on a budget with laminate floors that look just like hardwood (we have these upstairs in our master and my dressing room)!  I've linked lots of similar options below along with some more industrial flush-mount lights!  What was your favorite part of this Fixer Upper?  Don't forget to check out the rest of my Fixer Upper Friday posts here.

xoxo
