Style It: Brass Candlesticks

Lately I can't get enough of brass details in home decor. Whether it be hardware, trinkets, dishes, lighting, or knobs, vintage brass is back in a big way. I cringe when I think of how many brass things I foolishly spray painted several years back when it was still considered totally 80's-90's and outdated. Today it's the epitome of chic and can be used in so many different styles of decor, from rustic, to traditional, to modern. We have so many great brass pieces in store now including planters, trays, and of course lots of candlesticks! I love the eclectic and collected look that a grouping of mismatched vintage candlesticks adds to any space! These are an item you will be able to use in every room of the house- think dining tables, mantle decor, or shelf vignettes. I've even started my own little collection on my fireplace mantle (see below) that is quickly growing. Like any vintage collection, don't be afraid to mix different metal tones, finishes, and styles; some candlesticks might be in better condition than others but sometimes a little tarnish and rust just adds even more charm and character! Time to get collecting!
