Weekend Wardrobe: Breeder's Cup 2015

This weekend one was of the most exciting and historic Lexington has seen in a long time!  I was thrilled to have the opportunity to attend the first day of racing of the Breeder's Cup hosted at Lexington's own Keeneland Racetrack.  Of course the most exciting part of the races for me is the fashion!  There is an old-fashioned, lady-like flair to race-day fashion that I just love, and everyone really goes all out with their outfits.  I loved the bold color of this kelly green dress and the classic, simple cut.  I added the horse-bit belt for a little equestrian touch and the shoes for a pop of print (they are from Target's latest collaboration and I am LOVING all their plaids!).  The coat is one of (way too) many vintage coats I have collected over the years and is a vintage mink with gray leather panels.  Nothing adds a glamorous touch to a fall/winter outfit like a fabulous vintage coat, AND you can have an entire collection for the price of a single new coat!  You never know where you will find one that just fits perfectly: grandma's closet, the local thrift store, a vintage shop, or even a garage sale!   We had so much fun at the races and I hope that Lexington gets the opportunity to host this wonderful event again in the future!

xoxo
