Pumpkin season is here and y’all know I’m officially pumpkin OBSESSED. Last year, I even went to a pumpkin AUCTION and bought an entire truckload of pumpkins just for my own decor (and I used every single one, and could have probably used more!). Since I invest so much time and money in pumpkins each year, I’m always on the lookout for new ideas for keeping my pumpkins fresh and pretty through the end of October. I’ve rounded up every single trick, tip, and hack for caring for your pumpkins and keeping them looking their best through the entire fall season.
We will be offering seasonal fall floral arrangements through the end of October! Choose from a one-time delivery or a mini subscription of 3 deliveries spaced throughout September and October! We have so many beautiful fall stems in as well as unique vases, that make the most gorgeous autumn arrangements! Each arrangement is unique and can be customized to your specific preferences/decor as needed.
Let’s talk about light fixtures, specifically flush mounts. Over the years, I feel like flush mounts have gotten a bad rap, mostly due to the horrendous “nipple lights” that were a staple in homes throughout the late 80’s-90’s (if you don’t know what I’m talking about check out the photo below and you’ll GET IT). But unless you live in a home with tall ceilings in every single space or can lighting throughout, chances are you will need a few flush mount light fixtures. The great news is that we now have a ton of great options for these that can look beautiful and add a little personality to your space. Since I live in an older home with lower ceilings in most rooms, I actually have a ton of flush mount light fixtures throughout and am always on the lookout for the best modern options!
One of my favorite installs from this summer and a follower favorite as well was this modern farmhouse office project! We started with a pretty empty space but in a day transformed it into a bright + cozy office space that is much more functional and welcoming. We mostly stuck to neutrals in the room but I wanted to add warmth with lots of textures and different materials. There are lots of wood tones throughout, as well as pops of dark metal, and then we pulled in some cozy texture and pattern with the pillows, throw, curtains, and rug.
It’s my favorite time of year for decorating and I’m so excited to begin adding some cozy fall touches throughout my home. I get a good amount of my fall decor every year at Target and what I love is that many of the pieces can be used beyond fall as well! This year is no exception, and while most of these items aren’t available in my local stores yet, I went ahead and scoured their online inventory and chose my favorite pieces! I love the rich colors and textures they have incorporated this year and all the more modern fall pieces.
If you’ve been following along this will be the first of many “bachelor pad” updates. This summer I’ve had the pleasure of designing this entire house from scratch and I have loved the challenge. This client bought this home with no furniture but a mattress. His style is very minimal and modern and I also wanted to keep it masculine at the same time. We’ve used a lot of industrial metals, rustic reclaimed wood, and leather fabrics throughout the home. The dining room setup we pulled together is very simple but fits the space perfectly.
