I'm Emily, a lifestyle blogger at Miss Molly Vintage and owner of The Amsden in Versailles KY. I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky but moved to Versailles in 2016 with my husband, Alex. On my blog you will find a little bit of everything including fashion posts, home decor, recipes, and DIY's.
I also document my home renovation and other fixer upper projects that my husband and I have taken on (more of that over on my Our Fixer Upper page). Due to the success and following created by my renovation posts, I have recently added a full range of decorating and design services to the Miss Molly Vintage brand as well. These include holiday decorating, design plans, shelf styling, gallery walls, and more! My goal is to offer services that are affordable, flexible, and practical while also helping you achieve a cozy, comfortable, and customized space.
My latest project, the Amsden building, is one of the oldest building in downtown Versailles and was constructed in 1890. The building had been a variety of businesses since the closing of the bank in 1931 but had set vacant for the past several years. My husband and I purchased the building in early 2017 and began renovating the entire space shortly after. Our goal was to restore as much original character as possible while modernizing the space and making it completely functional. We are still puttting the finishing touches on some spaces but the majority of the renovation was completed before Thanksgiving. The Amsden now houses the Amsden Coffee Club, Gathered Mercantile, Shop Twenty Something Boutique, Amsden Bourbon Bar (opening in February/March), and the Yoga Room (opening in late January). My husband and I own and run the coffee shop and mercantile but lease space to the other businesses in the building. The Amsden Coffee Club is a cozy, Parisian-style coffee shop featuring locally ground coffee + espresso drinks as well as baked goods from Midway School Bakery. Gathered Mercantile is an eclectic + modern mercantile featuring over 10 local makers + artists as well as a variety of vintage goods, home decor, fresh flower + plants, jewelry, clothing, + accessories.
