Step by Step Plan for an Organized Home: Linen Closet

The next space up on my home organization challenge is the linen closet.  Whether you have one of these in your bathroom, hallway, or laundry room, this space becomes a catch-all for so many household necessities and it's so easy for it to get cluttered and out of control.  This is one space I had on my list to clean out and organize for quite some time now.  I still would like to add a few things, but it is already looking so much better.

Step by Step Plan for an Organized Home: Week 3 | Bathrooms

The next space up on our organized home challenge is bathrooms!  If you live in an older home like me, you are very familiar with the challenges of limited closet space and storage in bathrooms.  I've always lived in older houses, so I feel like I've mastered making the most of every inch of space for storage and am always on the lookout for creative storage solutions.  This post focuses on three different areas to focus on when organizing your bathroom: open shelving, bathroom cabinets, and the top of your vanity.  Let's start with open shelving!

Step by Step Plan for an Organized Home: Week 2 | Fridge

After a little break, it's time to resume our organizing challenge!  You can catch up on week 1 (kitchen cabinets) here.  This week we will be focusing on one of my favorite hobbies organizing the fridge!  Now I admit this is truly taking it to another level and may not be for everyone, but I promise it is not a difficult thing to keep up with!  I also think it has more benefits than just aesthetics, as you can keep better track of what you have in the fridge and (hopefully) be encouraged to make better choices when snacking and ultimately waste less food.  There are two major steps to getting started: 1. a deep clean on the entire fridge, and 2. the organizing phase.  I've also linked up all my favorite must-have products to get you started at the end of this post (crates, dividers, bins, etc.).  Let's get started- find all my tips + tricks below!

Blogger Brunch at The Amsden

This past weekend I was thrilled to host the most fun little brunch at The Amsden for a group of my local blogger friends.   I'm hoping this will be the first of many events like this in our spaces and I had so much fun decorating and setting everything up inside the coffee shop.  I decided to keep it simple and go with a winter white theme on the table settings.  I found the table runners, napkins, and cute disposable plates at Homegoods.  I wanted to keep cleanup simple so I also used this disposable wooden flatware which was super cute but also practical!  I put together some quick floral arrangements in gold jars using all white flowers, eucalyptus, and baby's breath.  I also cut some extra stems to lay on each place setting on top of the plate and napkin.
